Einstein Analytics Learning Experience
The Einstein Analytics Learning Adventure app to help users learn the product
Context and Goals
Einstein Analytics is a powerful business intelligence platform that allows users to connect to their Salesforce data and make beautiful visualizations. The Einstein Analytics journey map project work I did led to the creation of a new team devoted to improving the learning experience of Einstein Analytics. What we learned from the research was that customers had a hard time finding resources. There was also a lack of guidance on how to design a good dashboard and what features they could utilize to do so.
Persona
The main persona was the Analyst because they would be (most likely) the primary person creating dashboards.
Ideation, Creation & Iteration
This project was a mix of design co-creation (design studio) and formative feedback from target users. We started off with user pain points. A prominent pain point was that users were unaware of dashboard building best practices. A solution we came up with was to create a "Sample App" which could provide sample code and best practices for Einstein Analytics. The app could be built on the Salesforce platform and added to Salesforce's AppExchange for free download.

Those initial designs needed some refinement so we did some formative feedback sessions with analysts already using the product. These sessions helped refine the structure and content and allowed the team to iterate and improve the designs.

Result
The end result was a new resource that was well received by the Salesforce community and, like the Einstein Analytics Learning Map, it was featured at Dreamforce 2018 during the Einstein Analytics keynote. to show off Salesforce and our team's commitment to helping all people learn and be successful with our product.
